Are Women More “People-Oriented” Leaders?

Are women more people-oriented and greater believers in “participative” management? There is only one definitive answer and it is not particularly satisfying. That answer is -- “it depends.” Many social scientists commonly maintain that there is no empirical basis for assuming that gender has a direct influence on leadership style. Others researchers are convinced that female leaders are more concerned about interpersonal relationships and use a more democratic and participative leadership style than do men.
